What’s an impactful experience you’ve had in your career that helped lead you here?
I am drawn to Ed Tech and helping make online education accessible to students because I was unable to initially finish college due to needing to work full time and not having the opportunity to finish my last 4 semesters for graduation online. I started this journey that lead me here by first starting work at Instructure who builds the Canvas LMS.
What do you love about what you do at Noodle?
I love being part of the "unsung heroes" of higher education. A lot of what I do, and many of us at Noodle, is the operational tasks that students don't see, but it contributes to their overall experience. I love the freedom to find problems and then having the opportunity to fix them.
Why should someone consider joining Noodle?
We all work with our hearts in the right place to make online education accessible. It has been a joy working with other dedicated and inspiring people who are constantly thinking of new ways to improve the business and the lives of the students we recruit. While there's always a lot of work to do, we also feel supported to ask for help when we need it, or to take a break.
How do you embrace joy outside of work?
I embrace joy outside of work by hiking, mindfulness, being a crazy plant lady, and also watching over my two dwarf rabbits.
What’s your best-kept secret?
For the life of me I can't do the "live long and prosper" hand gesture from Star Trek despite being a sci-fi buff
